The Story of Tonys Place

In the mid 90’s my father “Tony” began the adventure of building this log home, he purchased logs from the Amish, not a kit.  Over a few years, we pealed each log, planed down 2 sides, joined the 3rd side, routed grooves in each log and assembled using 12” spikes.  My father put his heart and soul into building this place with his hands but at the time to me it was a simple rustic country cabin with green doors.  Over the years many family memories were made here. My father, a very simple man, only heated with a wood stove, this is the reason for the sap on the wall you will see, from the heat.  In 2018 dad was diagnosed with cancer and fought a hard battle until he passed September 11th 2019.  November 2020, we started to transform the country cabin into a rustic modern lodge for our family to enjoy as a vacation home.  After 8 months of hard work and lots of help from others my vision came true.  Once complete we decided to share this amazing place and rent it as a vacation home for other families & friends to build memories of their own.  We truly hope you enjoy your time here and make several memories to take a piece of Tony’s Place home with you in your heart.
